Hello!

My name is Trish. Ive just finally been able to sign on so I thought I would say a little hello! As I said my name is Trish..... well actually Patricia but friends call me Trish. I've recently applied to be a foster mom for Bullies in need and my first foster is the beautiful THELMA!!!!! Gosh we love her so much! she will make someone an amazing dog. Ill give you the low down on how our time with her has been so far.

I have two dogs of my own, Matthew a 1 year old boxer and Landen a 3 year old boxer. Landen is my little special needs boy, he is deaf and has vasculitis as well as lupus and a TON of allergies! But he is the sweetest boy youll ever meet! When Tanya first brought Thelma over to stay here we were a little nervous, she can be a little cranky when other dogs get in her personal space. She let Landen know that when he came in for a kiss. I decided to keep the dogs separate shuffling them from upstairs, outside and the basement. The one thing we did from the start though was walk them all together. I think that really helped. Now its been about a week and they are all the bestest of friends! We dont have to keep them separated at all ..... unless there is a bone involved, were still working on that.

Now a little more about Thelma. Ive noticed she is the kind of gal that bonds really strongly with one or two ppl. She follows me everywhere now! Its really sweet! except the time she broke into the bathroom and climbed into the tub with me.... that was a little much! hehehehehe Thelma LOVES her walks! she does the most amazing dance when you show her the leash. We go on about 2 - 3 walks a day and that just didnt seem to be enough for Thelma. I bicycle everyday with my young boys, though at first I though it would be a bit to much for our 10 yr old Thelma but BOY WAS I WRONG! I now take Thelma separately from the boys because she can last SOOOOOOO much longer then them. Ill keep you guys posted though on our progress and just wanted to let you guys know you do an AMAZING JOB! Keep up the great work you do! Im so happy you guys aloud me to be a part of your wonderful organization!

Who is losing weight?? Not me! But I think Thelma looks a little thinner???

Trish! So awesome that you are on here. Aren't your boys gorgeous on top of your house being beautiful too! I am glad she is warming up and loving the boys. I kinda thought that might happen slowly.

I love that she is loving the bike because I thought of you and her and if we do win one of those bike attachments for dogs, I was hoping you'd try it out Very Happy See everyone, you would be helping get Thelma into better shape.

I really believe this lil' lady's forever home is out there, and hopefully they won't mind company with their bubble baths Very Happy

Thanks for ALL you do too Trish - you're part of the foster crew now !

Tanya

When Thelma was initially pulled we were asked to foster since we love seniors. We drove down to Belleville as part of the transport and were instantly smitten. Such a goofy happy girl. The whole drive home she was vibrating with extreme joy.

Unfortunately, our shy bulldog was terrified of her and since we have two tiny kids we realized we shouldn't foster her. I was so embarrassed and heartbroken that we failed and added more to Tanya's already full house. Until now!! Obliviously it was meant to be. You can give her so much more than we could and she fit into your pack perfectly. And she is a muscular machine now! Thank you so much for fostering and post pictures often!

oh, and love that your boxers have human names Very Happy
